In the Court’s THIRTY-FOURTH EMERGENCY ORDER REGARDING THE COVID-19 STATE OF DISASTER, it extended the existing provisions until March 31, 2021. A quick scan of the Order reveals that it is identical in substance. A petition under Texas Rule of Civil Procedure 510.3(a)(2) must state the status of the premises under Section 4024 of the CARES Act, that notice to vacate has been given, that a copy of the CDC declaration has been tendered to the tenant, and more.
This action, together with the Court having previously pushed the tentative “court opening” date back to April 1, tells me that they don’t have any stomach for moving forward any time soon. And why not?
Perhaps this explains it, ya think? This is the map on January 30 2021.

My guess is that the Texas courts will not open for regular in-person business until at least well into the summer 2021, and that is doubtful given the coronavirus trends.
