After 16 years on the 33rd Judicial District Court bench, in 2013 I began a new career of alternative dispute resolution through mediation and arbitration. I now practice solely as a mediator and in other areas of dispute resolution. I hold the “Credentialed Distinguished” Mediator designation from the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association. I am also a member of the Association of Attorney-Mediators, Texas Association of Mediators and the Academy of Professional Family Mediators.

Types of cases mediated
Almost any type of litigation — both actively in court and pre-litigation. My law practice was general, my bench was one of general jurisdiction, and in mediating since January 1, 2013 I have encountered a wide variety of subject matter. My background as a Certified Public Accountant has often been brought to bear in my understanding of financial complexities both in commercial matters and family dissolution.

If you already have a mediator, I am also available to consult with attorneys on mediation strategies and preparation. Lastly, I am also available for single arbiter arbitrations.

What is a Credentialed Distinguished Mediator (TMCA)
I recognized that mediation would require a different skill set than that of a trial court judge. Therefore, I completed both the basic and advanced family mediation certification courses and have gained the experience to be credentialed by the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association as a Distinguished Mediator. Area served
While I primarily mediate and arbitrate cases from the counties of Burnet, Llano, Blanco, San Saba, Gillespie, Kerr, Travis, Williamson, Bexar, Lampasas, Brown and McCulloch. I am happy to also mediate cases from anywhere in Texas (now with Zoom), and beyond.
